Why this site exists. -- Postiwyd gan-Posted by waen ar / on Thursday, June 5 2003
This Web site exists as a tool to assist community groups and interested organisations in Gwynedd with the process of Neighbourhood renewal. Allowing local neighbourhoods, organisations and communities to find their own voices and contribute to the development of their own solutions. Policy initiatives designed to support community development need the views of wide communities to provide the kind of policy support people actually want. The Community acts as the catalyst or spark that drives the potential for regeneration and neighbourhood renewal forward. Using this Forum will assist the citizens and communities in Gwynedd to find their own voice and help develop their own solutions. This tool can be used strategically to help meet the needs of our communities.Where existing institutions organisations are not seen to offer answers, they will all be invited to participate. We hope that using ICT tools to promote new links and re-building links by individuals, communities and organisations will lead to a better understanding for all. Dissemination of information, problem solving and best practice will help the process of local regeneration and allow all to share in a brighter future.
